Know Your Rights Re: ICE

Attention all Laborers:

We are sharing the following Know Your Rights information in anticipation of increased immigration enforcement in the Chicago area:

1) AFL-CIO’s Know Your Rights cards with small right to remain silent portion at the bottom

2) STOP! signs to post on the inside of your home doors to remind you police and ICE cannot enter your home without your permission or without a search or arrest warrant

Also, the National Coalition of Labor (NCL)’s Union Legal Services has a referral program for dues paying members in good standing. This benefit includes a free legal consultation (typically $250) with private immigration attorney Lauren McClure of Kriezelman Burton & Associates.
